DIVINE DEFENSE.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! Psalm 91:1, 2.
Fear is not just unbelief, but it is an invitation, permission or authorization to the Devil to come in and take charge of our life, property and all that pertain to our great destiny in Christ Jesus, to do his usual business of killing, stealing and destroying. But, glory to God for providing us Divine Defense. We are divinely covered and protected!
However, even though the Lord assures us of His infallible, impregnable and unlimited protection, our personal faith on God's promised Word activates His protection. Just as fear attracts destruction, so faith in God's promised Word attracts, ensures and enforces deliverance, protection and promotion in the very presence of our contrary circumstances.
Psalm 23:1-6.
5 You prepare a table (of blessing) before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.
That's divine defense, Absolute power. That's the ultimate!
THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH is not a physical location we can run to for safety. It's far superior and better than that. But it's our heart to heart, spirit to Spirit closeness and intensity of our relationship and absolute faith in our omnipresent - ever-present, omnipotent - all powerful, omniscient - all knowing God through His promised Word. Now, that's absolutely awesome, amazing and remarkable. What a glorious privilege!
Faith in God's promised Word sends Satan, fear and his team running. Yes, faith in God causes the Devil to flee from us. James 4:7. The secret place of the most High is a divine, spiritual, impregnable fortress that produces physical, financial, emotional, relational, economic and all forms of protection. The Lord will ensure that as we trust in His promised Word with all our hearts, and never depending on our understanding, we will experience all round defense. Proverbs 3:5,6.
Fear, worry or unbelief is a slight and insult on God's integrity. It indicates we have more faith, trust and confidence in the Devil and his deceptive threats than we have in our Almighty God, and His infallible promises. That's very disrespectful, disgraceful and disappointing, especially if we are truly born again.
Moreover, it clearly means we are not spending enough time attending to prayer and God's Word, the bedrock of our relationship with God and ministry. It also means we are failing in our primary responsibility on earth as representatives and ambassadors of Jesus Christ. Needless to say, we are being unfaithful, unfruitful, and unproductive in this eternal mandate to bring glory to God as lights, salt and foundation and pillar of the truth to all nations.
It's time to STOP right there, REPENT wholeheartedly and boldly RETURN to our FIRST LOVE to passionate PRAYING, diligent study, compliance and obedience to GOD'S WORD and selfless, sacrificial and compassionate SERVICE TO HUMAN NEEDS, practically expressing GOD'S LOVE to people exactly as Christ our Lord did.
Faith in God's promised Word makes us bold, confident and at peace with God and people.
Proverbs 28:1.
The wicked flee when no man pursues them, but the [uncompromisingly] righteous are bold as a lion.
1 John 5:14, 15.
And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.
And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.
1 John 3:21.
And, beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us [if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us], we have confidence (complete assurance and boldness) before God,
Let's dwell more frequently in the secret place of the Most High by spending more time in prayer, fasting, God's Word and sharing the gospel and love through selfless service in the Church, our immediate environment and communities. That's how we serve God. And when as we do this, let's be very humble, bold and confident knowing that according to God's Word, God's awesome presence, approval and validation goes with us just like He was with our Jesus Christ doing good and healing the oppressed.
Acts 10:38.
How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, [a]in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.
John 20:21.
Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! [Just] as the Father has sent Me forth, so I am sending you.
Hallelujah!
